Springtime is finally here! The weather is perfect and there are so many fun events happening in and around the Key! If you’re staying at Eden, checkout these six spring events that you really don’t want to miss!
1. Pensacola Crawfish Festival
For the 32nd year, the Pensacola Crawfish Festival will once again bring the flare of cajun cuisine to downtown Pensacola. The Pensacola Crawfish Festival serves more than 16,000 pounds of crawfish, making it one of the largest crawfish festivals in the southeast.
2. Pensacola Jazz Fest
Historic Seville Square will be filled with the brassy sounds of trumpets, trombones and saxophones once more as Jazz Pensacola hosts their annual Pensacola JazzFest. This three-day festival is one of the most popular spring events attracting guests from all over the surrounding area. Attendees should bring lawn chairs and be ready to have a great time!
Celebrating 70 years, the Blue Angels will be continuing their weekly practices at their home base of NAS Pensacola. Spectators will enjoy watching these historic pilots perform extraordinary aerobatic flight maneuvers. After the show, stop by the Naval Aviation Museum and explore more than 350,000 square feet of aviation history. Practices are held weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Like their fish counterparts, the Blue Wahoos are known for their explosive plays and bright blue coloring. The Blue Wahoos have called Pensacola home for the last three years at their bayfront stadium that was recently recognized by Stadium Journey Magazine as the No. 11 best sports venue in the nation. If you want to cheer on the Wahoos, make sure to bring your glove and ball cap.
As one of the most legendary beach parties of all time, the Mullet Toss brings two states together for a competition like no other. Each competitor will face the ultimate challenge, tossing a mullet from Florida into Alabama. Whether you’re tossing mullets or tossing backs oysters at Flora-Bama, you are sure to have a good time!
